Ondo PDP chairman suspended over alleged anti-party activities

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ondo State, Fatai Adams, has been suspended by the State Working Committee, SWC, of the opposition party.

According to the SWC, the move was taken over the alleged anti-party activities of Adams and the purported infiltration of the party by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

The suspension letter, which was approved and signed by nine SWC members, including the State Deputy Chairman, Tola Alabere, Secretary, Oluseye Olujim, and Publicity Secretary, Kennedy Peretei, stated that Adams’ actions against the party have the potential to tarnish the reputation of the PDP in the state.

Others that signed the letter include the organising secretary, Engr. Dare Akinwale; the state vice chairman (South), Elder Amos Fadope; the state vice chairman (Central), Hon. Dayo Awude; the legal adviser, Moses Awofade; the financial secretary, Hon. Boluwaji Hamidele; and Hon. Olawumi Fasonu, who is the treasurer.
