Ondo guber: Police prepare drone deployment team

The police have deployed drones for surveillance during the Ondo State governorship election slated for Saturday (today).

The FCT Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu, in charge of the Nigerian Police Force monitoring team, on Friday prepared a drone deployment team to monitor the exercise.

Similarly, security operatives have expressed their readiness to partner with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the off-cycle election.

DAILY POST gathered that a total of 43,157 security personnel have been deployed for the election.

It was further learned that of the number, police would deploy about 34,657 personnel to polling units, wards/LGA collation centres plus other strategic locations.

Four police personnel are expected to man each polling unit.
