Ondo: Akinterinwa, Aiyedatiwa bicker over attacks on supporters, billboards

Wale Akinterinwa, a governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State, has decried the increasing rate of violence directed at his supporters and campaign materials by suspected thugs in the state.

Speaking through Segun Ajiboye, the spokesperson of the Wale Akinterinwa Campaign Organisation, the governorship aspirant called for immediate intervention from security agencies to investigate the persistent attacks.

According to Ajiboye, thugs suspected of being loyal to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa were allegedly behind the violent incidents.

He added that the attacks included the destruction of campaign billboards belonging to various governorship aspirants in the state.

“These thugs have continued to drag the name of our great party into the mud in the state.

“Other political parties in the state stand and mock the follies going on in the Ondo APC.

“How come Akinterinwa’s lackeys, either as directed or deliberately, see Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as a muted punching bag?

“For the umpteenth time, in their clueless attempts to disparage the irresistible popularity of the governor, they have been cooking up steaming-hot allegations that they are unable to substantiate.”
