Abia Warriors head coach, Bethel Oji says his team fought hard to qualify for the semi-finals of the President Federation Cup.
The quarter-final tie ended 1-1 in regulation time, with Abia Warriors prevailing 5-4 on penalties over Nigeria National League club, Sokoto United.
It’s first time Abia Warriors will be playing in the last four of the competition.
“No match is an easy one, be it against a smaller or bigger opponents,” he told the club’s media.
“I commend the boys for showing determination in achieving the win.
“I feel great as a coach because this is my first time of leading a team to the semi-finals of the competition.
“It’s an honour to have achieved that feat.”
