Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote says the team will keep fighting to return to winning ways.
The Oluyole Warriors slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Sunshine Stars in the Southwest derby at the Sports Complex on Wednesday.
Former Shooting Stars player, Moses Omoduemuke scored the winning goal for Sunshine Stars in the second half.
Ogunbote said his team will pick up the pieces from the loss.
“The game has been played, won and lost, there is nothing we want to describe in it other than to take the positives from it and then forge ahead,” he stated in a post-match interview
“We will quickly pick our pieces. We thought we could pick at least a point here and use it to console ourselves for the two points we dropped at home, but unfortunately, we were unable to do that.
“We still have to keep fighting, we go home to return back to winning ways.”
Shooting Stars dropped down to sixth position on the table.
The Ibadan warlords will face the Abia Warriors next in Umuahia.
