NWFL: Why we signed three new players – Bayelsa Queens coach Ogbonda

Bayelsa Queens head coach, Whyte Ogbonda has revealed the reason behind his decision to sanction the signing of Yinusa Zainab, Confidence Onen and Oscar Precious.

Ogbonda says the move is to bolster the team’s attacking force ahead of the 2024-25 Nigeria Women Football League season.

The experienced tactician opined that the trio’s acquisition will make his team compete well in the new season.

“With the three new players we are well prepared for the commencement of the league,” Whyte told Bayelsa Queens media.

“We have difficulty in scoring goals the out gone season, but, with the coming in of two strikers to add to the attacking force and one attacking midfielder, the Prosperity Girls are good to go.”

DAILY POST recalled that Bayelsa Queens finished in third position last season.
