Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has named his Mamelodi Sundowns counterpart Rowen Williams the best shot stopper in the world.
Williams, 32, kept 30 clean sheets in 46 matches for Sundowns last season.
The experienced goalie also helped Bafana Bafana of South Africa claim third position at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
He recorded five clean sheets in seven outings at the competition.
Williams is among the goalkeepers nominated for the Ballon d’Or award.
” I really see Ronwen Williams and not because we are in the same league,” the Nigerian told iDiski Times.
“But I really see him as the best goalkeeper in the world. He really inspires me with how he plays, and I’m not surprised to see him on the list of nominees of the best goalkeepers in the world.
“Ronwen Williams did really well and not only at the AFCON but at club level as well.”
