NSCDC deploys over 2,000 personnel for hitch-free yuletide in Kogi

The Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of over 2,000 personnel to ensure a smooth and secure yuletide celebration in the state.

Ahmad Ahmad Ghandi, the Kogi State Commandant of the NSCDC, revealed this during an interactive session with journalists in Lokoja on Tuesday.

Commandant Ghandi explained that the personnel were selected from various departments, including the operation department, special forces, agrorangers, intelligence, and national and critical infrastructure departments.

He added that the NSCDC, in collaboration with sister agencies, is committed to ensuring a crime-free state before, during, and after the yuletide season. Commandant Ghandi urged the youth to refrain from engaging in violent acts or criminal behavior.

He further called on the public to celebrate modestly and provide credible information to the NSCDC about criminal activities and hideouts, contributing to sustaining the relative peace enjoyed in the state.
