The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has vowed that the Corps would not tolerate vandalisation of any sort in the state.
The assurance was given by the State Commandant of the Corps, Sani Mustapha, when he addressed members of the Association of Scraped Products Buyers, ASPB in the State.
Commandant Mustapha reiterated the resolve of the Corps in the state to deal ruthlessly with anyone engaged in the vandalisation of public utilities, using the extant laws of the federation.
He advised the Association to collaborate with the Corps in order to fish out perpetrators of such crimes in the state.
Commandant Sani Mustapha also charged the leadership of the Association to desist from buying any goods suspected to have been vandalized.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Association, Aminu Abbah, who led the group, said the Association was very much ready to redeem the image of the state.
He pledged to collaborate with the Corps to put an end to the vandalization of government and private properties in the state.
The Chairman also extolled the doggedness of the Corps in the fight against insecurity and vandalization in the state and promised to support the Corps to root out vandals.
