The Nigeria Referees Association, NRA, has agreed on an increment in the indemnities of match officials in the Nigeria National League, NNL.
The president of the association, Alhaji Sani Zubairu, fulfilled his promise to the officials before the start of the 2023–24 NNL season.
The increment is aimed at protecting and securing the officials against any financial burden.
Zubairu urged referees at all levels to promote the good of the game while projecting the association in a positive light.
He also enjoined the referees to reciprocate the kind gestures of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, with fair and firm officiating.
DAILY POST recalls that centre referee Abubakar Musa was dropped from officiating in the NNL following his misconduct charges.
