NPFL: Unbeaten Rivers United back on top, 3SC return to winning ways

Rivers United reclaimed top spot in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, on Monday after a 1-0 win against Niger Tornadoes.

Seiyefa Jackson scored the winning goal for Finidi George’s side four minutes after the break.

Rivers United were reduced to 10-men after Emmanuel Nnaji was sent off in stoppage time.

The Port Harcourt club are unbeaten after seven games.

At the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, Shooting Stars secured a slim 1-0 win against Katsina United.

Adam Mustapha scored the decisive goal in the 68th minute.

At the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa United were held to a 0-0 draw by Rangers.
