Nigeria Premier Football League champions Rangers have named Chinemerem Ugwueze as their new captain.
Ugwueze took over the captaincy from Chukwudi Nwodu who had moved to Enyimba.
Nwodu’s former assistant Chidebere Nwobodo has also moved to Rwandan champions APR FC.
The newly appointed skipper has been tasked with the responsibility of coordinating the team to achieve their target for the new season.
The Flying Antelopes are already preparing for the new season.
Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side will begin the new season with a CAF Champions League preliminary round clash against Comoros side Union Sportive Zilimadjou.
