The coordinator of the youth league of the Nigeria Premier Football League, Paul Edeh, has advised players to be law-abiding and play according to the rules of the game.
Edeh gave the advice during an address to participants at the Lafia centre of the competition.
He revealed that a lot of awards are lined up for the best teams at the competition.
Edeh also tasked all the referees to be professional while discharging their duties saying, it would play a role in ensuring the success of the playoff.
“I call on you all both players and officials to be law abiding and avoid any behaviour that would bring this tournament into disrepute,” he said in his address.
“Be free to show your skills and dedication. There are a lot of awards lined up for those who merit them.”
Lobi Stars, Kwara United, Plateau United and Niger Tornadoes are the teams taking part in the competition from the North Central.
The competition is taking place at Lafia City Stadium.
