Lobi Stars have defended the disengagement of Eugene Agagbe as the head coach of the team.
Chairman of the Pride of Makurdi, Philip Nongu justified the decision in an address to the media at the Mccarthy Stadium.
Nongu explained that Agagbe failed to meet the target set for him.
“The board gave him a clear target, but he couldn’t deliver,” Nongu emphasized.
“With the club’s performance deteriorating, we had to make a change.”
Former Super Eagles forward Daniel Amokachi has been appointed as a replacement for the sacked coach.
