NPFL: Imama plots Akwa United fall

Abia Warriors head coach, Imama Amakpakabo has said the team will go all out for the maximum points against Akwa United.

The Umuahia-based club will entertain the Promise Keepers in the matchday two fixture at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Sunday.

Amakpakabo admitted that the encounter will be tough.

“Tactically we’re prepared for the game. It’s unfortunate that we lost our last game at home having played that well,” he told Abia Warriors media.

“We are going to stick to our beliefs, stick to the things we have prepared for and know how to do. We know it’s going to be a difficult game, on a good pitch we’ll be able to exhibit what we can.”

“They are going to come with their A-game and we too I believe, we’ll come with A+ game because, having lost our last game we need to regain the points.

“Our biggest undoing is that of the players’ inability to convert the chances we have been able to create through tactics. It’s their problem technically, which we’ve been trying to work on, and I believe, the chances are also going to come in this game we are going to play.

“If we are able to take our chances, we’ll be ahead in less than no time, but then, like I said, it’s going to be a highly tactical game.”
