Akwa United will commence preparations for the new season on Saturday, July 27, DAILY POST reports.
The players and officials of the team took a break at the end of the 2023–24 season.
“All players and officials are to report to the training ground on Saturday, July 27, to begin intensive preparations for the upcoming football season,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.
“With the fixtures released by the league organizers, we don’t have the luxury of time, so we need to return to camp and start our preparations and planning for the new season.”
The Promise Keepers will face Lobi Stars away in their first game of the 2024–25 season.
The new season will kick off on Saturday, August 31.
