No TSA, no payment – Abia govt tells MDAs, institutions

Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs and government-owned institutions in Abia State are to present their Treasury Single Account (TSA) clearance papers to qualify for payment of any type of voucher.

This disclosure was made by the Accountant General of the state, Njum Onyemenam during a workshop her office organized in conjunction with the Abia State Board of Internal Revenue, at Michael Okpara auditorium, Umuahia.

She advised heads of accounts of the MDAs and government-owned institutions to key into TSA and the consolidated revenue collection system which was launched in July, 2023 by Governor Alex Otti.

The Abia Accountant General, who said that the TSA was designed to bring all government revenues into one account for transparency, said that by keying into the system, the concerned MDAs and institutions would have access into the central system for the funding of their expenditure.
