No sit-at-home in South-East on Tuesday – Ekpa disowns order

The Simon Ekpa-led Biafra Republic Government In-Exile has clarified that there is no sit-at-home on Tuesday, 22nd October 2024 in the South East.

DAILY POST reports that a voice note from an unknown person had ordered the people of the South-East to stay at home on Monday and Tuesday, October 20-21, 2024.

The development has grounded activities in the zone today.

Earlier, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, declared that it had no hand in the order, urging the people of the South-East to ignore it.

In a statement on Monday also, through his official Twitter handle, Ekpa stressed that there would be no sit-at-home on Tuesday apart from the one observed on Monday to press home the demand for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.
