The Nigeria National League, NNL, has advised against any act that will bring the league to disrepute.
The NNL chairman, George Aluo gave the advice during a press conference in Lafia on Friday evening.
Aluo advised clubs participating in the league to ensure adequate security during and after matches.
He however promised a level playing environment for all the teams to exhibit their best football.
“We will not hesitate to deal decisively on any team that engages in any act of hooliganism during any of our League matches,” he stated.
“We will invoke the deduction of maximum points from teams that its supporters engaged in such act.”
The new season will commence today (Saturday) at the Lafia City Stadium.
