The Federal Government says plans are underway to boost food production in the country through mechanisation.
The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Abubakar Kyari stated this while speaking with newsmen at the end of the National Agricultural Growth Scheme and Agro Pocket, NAGS-AP, meeting on Saturday in Abuja.
The meeting was organized ahead of the implementation of the second phase of 2023-2024 dry season farming in the country.
The minister noted that mechanised farming was key to agriculture as it would support food production in the country.
”President Bola Tinubu said he is going to give us all the support for mechanisation and we will soon roll out the mechanisation programme,” he said.
