Italy head coach, Luciano Spalletti, has included Nigerian-born midfielder, Michael Folorunso in his final 26-man squad for the Euro 2024 tournament.
Folorunso was born in Italy to Nigerian parents and was eligible to represent both countries.
Spalletti had originally called up 30 players for the Coverciano training camp last week
Folorunso spent the 2023–24 season on loan at Hellas Verona from Napoli.
The 26-year-old scored five goals and provided an assist in 34 league appearances for Hellas Verona.
The former Bari player was handed his maiden invitation by Spalletti in March.
He was on the bench for Venezuela and Ecuador.
Italy are in Group B along with Spain, Croatia and Albania.
