Former Real Sociedad midfielder Mutiu Adepoju has predicted the Super Eagles of Nigeria will beat the Bafana Bafana when both teams clash in the semi-final of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire on Wednesday evening.
According to Adepoju, the Super Eagles have beaten South Africa several times in the past and can still do it again.
In a tweet via his X account before the game, Adepoju said: “Here’s wishing the team the best of luck for today’s game. We have beaten South Africa several times, so I anticipate a victory.”
Nigeria head to the AFCON last four after beating Angola 1-0 in the quarterfinal.
South Africa, meanwhile, defeated Cape Verde 2-1 via a penalty shootout.
