Nigeria Immigration decorates 98 promoted officers in Rivers

The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, has decorated 98 newly promoted senior and middle cadre officers at its Rivers State Command.

The NIS also inducted 54 newly recruited personnel after their convocation and orientation at the command.

The newly decorated officers consist of 43 females and 55 males.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Comptroller of the Rivers State Command, Assistant Comptroller General Sunday James, expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, among others for the promotion.

He described the promotion exercise as a welfare package to spur the officers to do more.

He said: “As the adage goes, to whom much is given, much is expected. The officers are willing, ready, and able to pursue all the tasks they are mandated to carry out within the purview of the service mandates.”
