New Ohimege turbaned after Gov Bello banished former monarch to Niger State

Just one day after Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isa Koto was deposed from office, HRM Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu has been turbaned as the new Ohimege Igu of Konton-karfe.

The turbaning ceremony took place on Tuesday at the Palace of the Ohimegye, in Kogi LGA of Kogi State.

DAILY POST recalls that Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State deposed and banished three monarchs in Kogi State on Monday to Niger State.

The three deposed monarchs are Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isa Koto Samuel, Ohimege Igu Konton-Karfe, Adayi Onimisi, the Obobanyi of Emani and Sam Bola Ojo, the Olu Magongo.

Following the recent development, the new Ohimege Igu Kotonkarfe, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu, urged the people to work in unity and embrace peace.

He promised to carry all the people along.
