Netherlands targets $250 investment in Nigeria

The Netherlands plans to invest another $250 million in Nigeria in the coming months.

Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, disclosed this when President Bola Tinubu visited his official residence on Thursday.

He said the Dutch investors were confident in Tinubu’s administration.

The $250 investment includes a $100 million investment in a waste-to-wealth industrial facility in Nigeria’s Lagos State.

“I saw you take the courageous decision to deal with fuel subsidies and other reforms, and we are interested in what allowed you to take the decisions that many before you could not take.

“And you took those decisions early in your term. It shows rare determination. And your stand in ECOWAS, all of these point to your commitment to leadership,” the Dutch Prime Minister stated.

President Tinubu told the European leader that Nigeria is open for business.

He noted that Nigeria has high-grade deposits of lithium.

Tinubu and his delegates are in the Netherlands for a three-day visit.
