NCC hosts national launch of ITU collaborative regulation report on Nigeria

The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has collaborated with the International Telecommunication Union, ITU, and received support from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, FCDO, to prepare the ITU Collaborative Regulation Report on Nigeria.

The report reviews Nigeria’s approach to regulating Information and Communications Technology, ICT.

The report was officially launched on July 22, 2024, at the NCC Mbora Annex Office by the Honorable Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy.

The report highlights Nigeria’s collaborative regulatory efforts in the ICT sector.

In his speech at the launch, Dr Bosun Tijani said “15-20 years ago, NCC was just regulating the telecommunications sector.

“Today, NCC regulates the foundation for which any economy will be prosperous. Without communications technology, there is absolutely no nation today that is prosperous.”
