The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has established the Adjudicature Review Committee (ARC) to strengthen Nigeria’s judicial system.

The association also appointed Dr. Sam Amadi, former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), as the chairman of the committee.

This was disclosed in a statement by Mazi Afam Osigwe, Chairman of the NBA, and shared by Amadi on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday.

“Thanks ⁦@afamosigwe⁩ and NBA for the honor of appointing me to chair this important committee to reshape the judiciary towards a justice-based adjudication that promotes democratic accountability,” Amadi posted on X.

According to the statement, Osigwe noted that the ARC will regularly review key appellate court cases, providing comprehensive analysis to address legal errors and contribute to jurisprudence that enhances democracy and justice in Nigeria.
