The Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA) has officially confirmed Comrade Yusuf Sarki Iya, a former Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), as the new Auditor-General of Nasarawa State.
This confirmation comes following his nomination by Governor Abdullahi Sule just a week ago.
Speaker Danladi Jatau made the announcement on Monday after Comrade Iya appeared before the House for a screening session during the plenary in Lafia.
The decision to confirm Iya’s appointment was met with widespread approval among the assembly members, who praised his extensive experience and commitment to public service.
