The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Financial Derivatives Company Limited, Bismark Rewane has said the current Naira appreciation drive against the US dollar is sustainable.
Rewane disclosed this on Thursday when he was a Channels Television’s Politics Today guest.
He said the Naira had gained about 28 per cent in three weeks.
“In the past three weeks, the Naira has appreciated by about 28 per cent, from N1,915 per USD to N1,475, which is good news.
“…The truth is that it is sustainable as long as you do several things”, he said.
DAILY POST reports that the Naira appreciated N1,382 per USD on Thursday compared to N1,492 the previous day.
