Miyetti Allah launches Nomad Vigilante Group in Nasarawa State

Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, the President of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural association, has announced the launch date for a Nomad Vigilante Group in Nasarawa State.

DAILY POST had reported on November 2nd, 2023, that the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore announced its commitment to supporting the Federal Government in its efforts to combat the escalating security challenges across the nation.

Bodejo had stated that the quasi-security outfit would fish out criminal elements among cattle herders in the community and reduce the allegation on those who are treated unjustly for crimes not committed as a result of the bad eggs.

The 2,140-man-strong vigilante group aims to complement the efforts of conventional security agencies in addressing insecurity and promoting peaceful coexistence in Nasarawa State.

The announcement was made by Bodejo, who holds the title of Lamido Fulbe, expressing the need for additional security measures to ensure the safety of residents.

A statement issued by the association’s Publicity Secretary, Mallam Suleiman Tasiu, revealed that the launching event is scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the City Square in Lafia, commencing at 11 am.

The association has extended invitations to Governor Abdullahi Sule, other top government officials, and stakeholders to attend the event as special guests.

Prominent Fulbe personalities in the state have also been invited to participate in what is deemed a historic occasion.
