Kylian Mbappe will not be part of the Real Madrid squad that will travel to North America for a pre-season tour.
According to The Athletic, Mbappe will instead begin his pre-season training with his new team-mates at the Valdebebas training centre from August 7.
Madrid will depart for their US trip on July 28, where they will play friendly matches against Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea.
But Mbappe, who was officially unveiled on Tuesday, will not be involved as he played with France at Euro 2024.
The 25-year-old, Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid’s management have collectively decided on a period of rest and recuperation for the star forward.
It is expected that the forward will now embark on a vacation to unwind before getting back on the grass in the first week of August.
