Mawuena returns to Remo Stars’ training after injury layoff

Franck Mawuena Kwame has returned to Remo Stars training after a lengthy injury layoff.

Mawuena was sidelined for around six months after undergoing surgery for an injury he sustained in Remo Stars’ 3-2 loss to Akwa United last November.

The Ikenne club confirmed his return on social media.

Remo Stars wrote on their X handle, “Back in the squad and training is Franck Mawuena Kwame.”

The Togolese-born forward scored two goals in seven appearances for the Sky Blue Stars before his injury.

Mawuena’s return is a big boost for Daniel Ogunmodede’s side , who are in contention to win their first league title.

He is expected to return to action before the end of the season.
