Manchester City will on Saturday afternoon host Liverpool in the Premier League match-day 13 fixture at the Etihad Stadium.
Man City head to the game following a 4-4 with Chelsea in their last Premier League tie, while Liverpool defeated Brentford 3-0.
Pep Guardiola’s side are currently on top of the Premier League table with 28 points from 12 games.
Liverpool, on the other hand, are in 2nd position with 27 points from the same number of games.
The last time both teams met was in April this year.
Man City defeated Liverpool 4-1 at home, thanks to goals from Julian Alvarez, Kevin de Bruyne, IIkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish.

Man City’s goal machine Erling Haaland missed Norway’s final Euro 2024 qualifier against Scotland due to an ankle problem he sustained in Man City’s recent win over Bournemouth.
Goalkeeper Ederson is in the same boat with his own foot concern, while Sergio Gomez (ankle), Mateo Kovacic (thigh) and Nathan Ake (knock).
Kevin De Bruyne (hamstring), John Stones (thigh) and Matheus Nunes, who was declared “clinically unfit” while on duty with Portugal national team, are set to watch on from the sidelines.
Meanwhile, Julian Alvarez is a more than capable deputy for Haaland. The Argentina international is one of several South American representatives facing tight turnaround times and Haaland is said to be increasingly confident that he will be fit to feature for Pep Guardiola’s side having trained ahead of the clash.

Liverpool’s medical team must make late calls on a number of players, namely Joe Gomez (knock), Ryan Gravenberch (knee injury), Ibrahima Konate (hamstring injury) and Curtis Jones (hamstring injury).
However, all the four players have trained with the team ahead of the crunch fixture.
But all of Andrew Robertson (shoulder injury), Stefan Bajcetic (calf injury) and Thiago Alcantara (hip injury) will not be at manager Jurgen Klopp’s disposal.
Klopp will need to conduct once-overs on his South American troupe of Alisson, Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister and Darwin Nunez.
