Makinde constitutes coronation committee for new Olubadan

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has announced the constitution of a committee for the coronation of the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin.

Makinde made this declaration on Monday.

Olakulehin had earlier been nominated and appointed as the 43rd Olubadan by the kingmakers in April this year.

The governor, a few days ago, approved the appointment.

Governor Makinde has now announced the constitution of a committee for the coronation, which is expected to take place on Friday, July 12, 2024.

The committee, according to a statement made available to DAILY POST on Monday, is headed by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Ademola Ojo, while Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Wasiu Olatunbosun, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Toyin Balogun, and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Ramota Agberemi-Dabo, among others, are members of the committee.
