Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has approved the appointment of Dr. Taiwo Abideen Lasisi as Acting Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
Makinde made the announcement via a statement signed by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Salihu Adelabu, and made available to DAILY POST on Saturday.
He said Lasis will serve in an acting capacity for six months with effect from 25th March, 2024 to 25th September, 2024.
The governor, while speaking further, maintained that the appointment became imperative following the expiration of the tenure of Professor Kazeem Adebiyi on 24th March, 2024.
The acting Rector obtained Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Statistics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and a Doctorate of Philosophy Degree in Statistics (Time Series Analysis) from the University of Botswana.
Makinde appoints Lasis as Acting Rector of Ibadan Polytechnic
