Lobi Stars head coach, Eugene Agagbe has revealed that his players are reaping the reward of hard work.
The Pride of Benue recorded a 2-0 away win against Kwara United in Ilorin on Sunday.
An own goal and Stanley Ogabor’s strike secured maximum points for the visitors.
Agagbe said the target was to maintain their continental ambition with the victory.
“I thank the players for the hard work. However, they will need to work harder because our aim was to be among the first three at the end of the season, to win a continental ticket,” he said in a post-match interview.
“Our target coming to Ilorin was to beat Kwara United. I have a better team, going by the statistics, even before the game today. We are more organised with the right technical and tactical discipline.”
Lobi Stars currently occupy second position on the table with 32 points.
