Lobi Stars commence screening for U-17 team

Lobi Stars management has ordered the commencement of screening exercise for the club’s U-17 team.

The Vice Chairman of the club, Dominic Iorfa gave the directives on Saturday in Makurdi.

The U-17 coaches and players are expected to converge on Monday, January 8, 2024.

The screening exercise will take place at McCarthy Stadium by 7am.

DAILY POST recalls that the Pride of Benue management recently constituted a team for the youth team, with Emmanuel Jekelle acting as the director.

Other members of the team are Japheth Agaadi head coach and Benjamin Jacobs, who will serve as assistant coach, Terfa Abaya will serve as the physical trainer, and Jijir Ahungwa as goalkeeper trainer.

Lobi Stars will participate in the inaugural edition of the NPFL youth league.

The competition is scheduled to kick-start on February 1, 2024.

Lobi Stars are in the same group with Kwara United, Niger Tornadoes, and Plateau United.

The Lafia City Stadium will host the Group B teams.
