‘Let’s work together’ – Gov Fintiri tells Adamawa people after Appeal Court victory

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State and his deputy, Professor Kaleptapwa, have asked all the people of the state to put politics aside and join in efforts to build the state.

The two leaders made their appeals on separate occasions Monday after the Court of Appeal judgement in Abuja upheld their election.

The Court of Appeal had on Monday morning affirmed their election and dismissed the appeal filed by Senator Aishatu Binani Ahmed, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the election.

Governor Fintiri, who was away from the state when news of the court judgement broke, spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, who quoted the governor as declaring that the court victory is for all Adamawa people.

The governor, urging all parties to close ranks and work towards the development of the state, said party politics should now be seen as over.
