Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has debunked claims of friction between him and forward Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho linked up with Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against Maresca’s wishes.
The 27-year-old has barely featured for the Foxes since returning from the competition in February.
The former Manchester City star, who has not been included in Leicester City’s matchday squad for the last five games, has less than two months on his contract with the Foxes.
“I already mentioned in January, during the window, when we had some issues. I said it was not the moment. At the end of the season, we can talk about it. The same thing with the financial problems. Nobody told me, which I don’t think is the right thing to do. There are things we need to clarify. For the rest, we are fantastic. We are all happy,” Maresca was quoted by Leicester Mercury.
