Kogi Gov condoles with Anambra, Ndigbo over Ezeife’s death

Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has commiserated with the government and the people of Anambra, and the entire Ndigbo over the death of Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Onogwu Mohammed, on Friday in Lokoja, Bello said he received the news of the passing of Ezeife, a former Anambra governor and elder statesman, with profound shock and sadness.

The governor, who also commiserated with the deceased’s family members, described Ezeife’s death as a monumental loss.

According to him, Ezeife, fondly called ‘Okwadike’ was a respected leader, a statesman par excellence, a wise counsellor, and a bridge builder, whose contributions to Nigeria’s political landscape would remain deeply etched in the nation’s history.

“Chief Ezeife was a man of immense wisdom and integrity; his passion for Nigeria’s unity and his dedication to good governance were exemplary.

“The former governor served Anambra and the nation with distinction and provided impactful leadership that will continue to inspire long after now.’

“I recall my warm interaction with Chief Ezeife in 2021, when the elder statesman commended my political trajectory and described me as a young, vibrant, and enterprising politician who dares the odds, pushes his conviction, and remains stoic with his aspirations,” Gov Bello said.
