His Majesty, King W.S. Joshua, Igbugburu X, the Ebenanawei of Bomo Kingdom, has been installed as the second chancellor of the Federal University, Dutse.
Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof Abdulkareem Sabo Muhammad, announced this on Saturday at the combined 6th and 7th convocation of the institution.
The installation of the new chancellor took place as part of activities of the combined convocation.
The vice chancellor said a total of 2872 students have successfully gone through their various degree programmes and have qualified to graduate from the university.
He added that the university also have two Ph.D, 47 M.Sc, 376 Masters and 189 Postgraduate Diploma graduands.
According to him, 74 students graduated with first class degrees, while 836 graduated with second class upper degrees.
He congratulated the students and advanced them to shun drugs abuse and be good ambassadors of the University.
In his address, King W.S. Joshua commended President Bola Tinubu for the appointment and also pledge his allegiance to the university.
He said that he is ready to support the university’s administration and the university community at large.
