Keyamo commissions construction of international cargo airport in Zamfara

The Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, has flagged off the construction of Gusau International Airport in Zamfara State, at the cost of N62 billion.

The minister, while inaugurating the project, described it as the best for not only the state but the country at large.

He explained that the airport would enhance agricultural and business activities of the people of the state.

Keyamo further disclosed that the technical team is working round the clock to ensure that the project becomes reality, adding that, Federal Government would extend all necessary support and contribution towards the construction of the airport.

In his speech, Governor Dauda Lawal said the airport would be given due attention for successful completion within the stipulated period and contractual agreement of 32 months.

He said that upon completion, the project would help to provide employment opportunities and reduce poverty not only in the state but the country at large.
