Katsina United appeal NPFL fine for security breach

Katsina United have appealed the fine imposed on the club by the Nigeria Premier Football League.

The Chanji Boys were fined N1 million for failing to provide adequate security during their matchday five encounter against Sunshine Stars last weekend.

Katsina United made this known in a letter written by the Interim Management Committee Chairman, Kabir Dan’lami Rimi to the NPFL.

Dan’lami appealed to the NPFL leadership to reconsider the sanctions imposed on the club because nothing transpired during the game.

He assured that the club will continue to do everything possible to ensure that adequate security measures are implemented.

Katsina United were ordered to pay the fine within 14 days or risk further sanctions pending response of the appeal.
