Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has assembled a high-powered committee to spearhead the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign for the upcoming bye-election in the Kankara-Faskari-Sabuwa federal constituency.
This committee, unveiled at the Funtua zonal stakeholders meeting, boasts a blend of influential figures, led by State Deputy Governor, Faruq Lawal Jobe. Senator Muntari Dan Dutse and Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari, to serve as deputy chairman and secretary, respectively.
Other committee members include all APC members from federal and state assemblies, commissioners, special advisers, and party officials from Funtua zone.
Local government representation was also ensured through the inclusion of state deputy and vice chairmen, council chairmen, and APC chairmen across the eleven local government areas.
Governor Radda expressed his appreciation for the stakeholders’ efforts in mobilizing card-carrying members. He stressed the importance of maintaining respect for all party leaders, fostering unity and dedication to the APC’s success. He also hinted at plans to establish similar committees in each of the state’s thirty-four local governments, solidifying the party’s grassroots presence.
Deputy Governor, Jobe earlier outlined ongoing consultations with Funtua zone stakeholders to strategize for victory in the twenty polling units across Kankara and Faskari. He expressed confidence in the ruling party securing a resounding win based on what he termed the party’s strong foundation and Governor Radda’s focus on major concerns like security.
The State’s APC Chairman, Sani Ahmed Daura and Senator Muntari Dandutse commended Governor Radda’s seven-month administration for delivering tangible benefits to the people. They urged party members to conduct their campaign with politeness and respect for the electorate.
