Former federal lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has accused the recently reinstated Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II of supporting tyranny in Kaduna State.
In a post on his official X handle on Monday, Shehu Sani said the Emir of Kano who is currently in the news over the controversy surrounding his reinstatement, was thought a victim of tyranny in Kano but identified with and supported the same kind of government in Kaduna State.
He wrote, “Lamido fought against tyranny in Kano State, became a victim of tyranny in Kano State and supported, identified with and encouraged our own tyranny in Kaduna State”.
DAILY POST recalls that Snusi, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN was in March 2020 dethroned by the then governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje.
Barely 24 hours after his dethronment, the former CBN boss was appointed as the Vice-Chairman of the Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency board by ex-governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
El-Rufai also appointed Sanusi as the Chancellor of the Kaduna State University.
