Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has said Nigeria’s security agencies were not on the same page on the Tudun-Biri community’s mistake bombing.
He urged the Senate to assist in ensuring that the survivors receive justice.
The governor was reacting to remarks made by Senator Barau Jibrin, who represented Senate President Godswill Akpabio during a condolence visit to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, in Kaduna on Sunday.
Governor Sani pledged that the Kaduna State Government will continue to assist security agencies in carrying out their constitutional responsibilities.
He demanded that the Army conduct a prompt investigation into the error attack to bring the perpetrators to justice and put an end to future error assaults in any part of the country.
He also reiterated his past calls for a state police force to supplement the existing security arrangements.
Jibrin stated in his remarks that senators’ salaries would be donated to the Tudun-Biri community. He also expressed sympathy for the Tudun-Biri community’s mistaken attack.
Senators Ali Ndume, Lawal Usman, Abba Moro, Opeyemi Bamidele, Naziru Yar’Adua, and others were among those accompanying the Deputy Senate President.
They paid a visit to the injured victims at Kaduna’s Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital and commiserated with them.
