Jigawa High Court judges begin 2024 annual vacation July 8

Jigawa State High Court will, on July 8, 2024, begin its annual vacation to end the 2023/2024 legal year of the state judiciary.

This was contained in a statement issued to DAILY POST by Abbas Rufa’i Wangara Director Protocol and Publicity, State Judiciary.

According to the statement “Pursuant to the provision of Order 45 Rule 5(1) of the Jigawa State High Court Civil Procedure Rules ( Subsidiary Legislation) Cap. H-2, Laws of Jigawa State, 2012, gave power to His lordship, the State Chief Judge Hon. Justice Umar M. Sadiq to declare the Court on Vacation.

“Therefore by the provision of Jigawa State High Court 2023/2024 Legal Calendar, all high court judges shall be on vacation from Monday, July 8, 2024 to Friday, September 13, 2024 and to resume official activities on Monday, September 16, 2024.”

The statement added that during the said vacation, Hon. Justice Mustapha Bello Adamu of High Court No.9 Hadejia and Hon. Justice Auwal Ya’u of High Court No.10 Hadejia are to serve as vacation judges during the said period and to sit at judicial complex, Dutse.
