Japa: Urgently address issue of Nigerian workers moving abroad – Atiku’s aide to Tinubu

Daniel Bwala, a media aide to the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has urged President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and the National Assembly to urgently address the migration of Nigerians abroad.

Bwala lamented that staff of universities and medical practitioners are migrating abroad in droves owing due to poor, unpaid salaries, and working conditions.

Posting on X, Bwala disclosed that Nigerians who are frustrated by the poor working conditions of the country are leaving their jobs and migrating abroad.

According to Bwala: “Frustration and mass resignation hitting public universities due to japa-risation.

“The reasons advanced are “poor and delayed salaries, unpaid allowances, poor infrastructure and lack of respect for the academic community.

“Hospitals short staffed due to Doctors and nurses Japa-risation to UAE, Canada, US and UK. Now University lecturers follow suit.

“It’s been ongoing for ages in the private sector, no one cared, now it is hitting the public sector (critical to national security.

“This must be addressed as a matter of emergency, not urgency @officialABAT @KashimSM @nassnigeria @HouseNGR.”
