Insecurity: New FCT Police Commissioner tours Ushafa, other communities in Bwari council

Newly posted Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Command, CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Friday, visited Ushafa and a few other communities in Bwari Area Council to asses the security situation in the area.

A statement by the command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh said the visit was part of the Command’s commitment to ensuring that all parts of the FCT enjoy peace and security.

She stated that CP Disu, during the visit, held extensive discussions with traditional rulers, youth groups, and community members, listening to their concerns.

According to the statement, the CP emphasized the importance of collaboration between the police and residents, encouraging community members to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious activities.

He assured that the Command has already strengthened its deployments in key areas within the Bwari axis, with a special focus on intelligence-driven operations and rapid response units.

He reiterated that the FCT Command will leave no stone unturned in tackling crime and ensuring that Bwari, like all communities within the FCT, remains a safe and secure environment for residents and businesses alike.
