Insecurity: Islamic scholar urges Zamfara residents to seek divine intervention

An Islamic scholar and former Commissioner for Religious Affairs in Zamfara State, Shiekh Sani Tukur Jangebe, has expressed dismay over the incessant security challenges in the state.

He noted that residents of the state will only have rest of mind through divine intervention.

The former Chief Imam of Muslims Foundation in GRA, Gusau, also called on Muslims to use the Ramadan period to intensify prayers for peace and stability to prevail in Zamfara, northern Nigeria and the country at large.

Recall that Shiekh Jangebe was the state’s Commissioner for Religious Affairs in the Mamuda Aliyu Shinkafi administration and the tenure of Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

However, he voluntarily resigned as a commissioner, saying that then governor Bello Matawalle did not want to abide by religious instructions.

It would also be recalled that the Islamic scholar resigned as the Chief Imam of the Muslims Foundation Musque at the GRA in Gusau, the State capital, for unknown reasons.
